Our attention has been drawn to a malicious post by APGA media goons in which they alleged that the just concluded peaceful rally, held today by the APC at All Saints Cathedral, Onitsha with an intimidating crowd, turned bloody.
It is on record that Apga has alleged that Dr Tony Nwoye was cash trapped to the extent that he borrowed 19 million naira from money lenders to finance his flag-off, yet the mammoth crowd that filled the venue proved them wrong.
We got an intelligence report about the clandestine plan to trend photos of the preparatory stages of the flag off as true pictures of the actual event. But, the pictures of the historic event made nonsense of their fallacious posts.
We need not repeat other ill intended speculations of the highly frightened APGA that turned out embarrassing their ilk of mischief makers.
Therefore, for the avoidance of doubt, may I to state that there was no known record of violence - wether by real or imaginary persons - before, during and or after the rally which has been adjudged very successful.
The said violence happened on the phone screens of APGA hirlings and their strange bed fellows peddling the malicious propaganda.
Obviously, more than 14 governors graced today's flag off and they all came and left through Owerri, as such, non plied any road that led through or to Awka.
Moreso, while they were dishing their falshood about an accident that happened at Tarzan, the man of the moment - the APC candidate Dr Tony Nwoye - was at the palace of Igwe Alfred Achebe, the Obi of Onitsha, in the company of other dignitaries, and never plied the said route afterwards.
Therefore, it is on record that APGA's intent and bad wishes for the APC to record a failed rally was defeated with the records of the mammoth crowd that filled the venue of the rally.
We therefore urge the public and Ndi Anambra to completely disregard and discard the said rumour being forcefully pushed by the stressed and fighting APGA people and their hirlings, as it only happened in the figments of their sad imaginations.
Today's APC rally and flag off of Dr Tony Nwoye's campaign, not only recorded massive turnout but was absolutely peaceful, calm and very revealing.
