Former Manchester United captain Rio Ferdinand has slammed the club's duo of Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard for their latest social media antics which the English man claimed was out of proportion.
Paul Pogba may have impressed a few following his world record switch to Manchester United last summer, but club legend Rio Ferdinand is irked by his antics and has asked the Frenchman to concentrateon his football and improving their position on the log.
This comes after Pogba, 23, uploaded a videoon Instagram of him and club mate Jesse Lingard showing off their latest moves in the team’s locker room.
The 38-year-old Ferdinand who captained United under legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson explained that Lingard and Pogba should be focusing on firing the team up the table rather than showing off on social media.
- “I’ve just seen a video of the lads dancing in the changing room. I’m all for having a bit of fun on social media and stuff.
- “But not when you’re fifth [United are actuallysixth] in the league, and you’re not in the Champions League positions,''he said
- The former England center-back also insistedthat that kind of behavior would not have happened during his time at Old Trafford.“You haven’t won anything yet, and until you’ve won something you can’t go out and do stuff like that,”he said.
