‘I Have Given Arsenal Fans Joy’- Manchester United Boss Mourinho Says

Jose Mourinho said Arsenal fans “deserve some joy” and his record against Arsene Wenger was not “normal” after the Frenchman ended his Premier League jinx against the Manchester United boss on Sunday.

After 13 attempts, Wenger recorded his first ever league win against a Mourinho side when Arsenal ran out 2-0 winners on Nissan Super Sunday.
Mourinho had made eight changes for the match ahead of the second leg of United’s Europa League semi-final against Celta Vigo, and he said afterwards: “Finally I leave this stadium with Arsenal fans happy.
“It’s the first time I’ve see them smile, I’ve see them enjoy it. And they deserve it because they are an amazing club, and the amazing fans also deserve some joy.
“It is the first time I’ve left Highbury or the Emirates and they are happy. I left Highbury they were crying, I left the Emirates, they were crying. They were walking with their heads low, so finally they sing, the scarves, it’s nice for them, honestly. It’s a big club.
“Do you think I enjoy the fact that a big club like Arsenal are not winning trophies? Honestly I don’t, but today I tried to win.”
Mourinho also spoke about Wenger, who he has clashed with in the past.
“Arsene Wenger is not a small manager, he is a big manager, so to have that record of not losing so many matches against him is not normal. Normally it’s win, lose, draw, but I really don’t care about it,” he added.
“Today there were no problems, we shook hands before the game, we shook hands after the game, and during the game I didn’t like what I never like – he puts too much pressure on the fourth official all the time.”
